Fimo snowman in acrylic ball
Instructions No. 2916In this tutorial, we'll show you how to make a cute snowman with FIMO and an acrylic ball. It's a creative and fun activity that's great for winter decorations or as a gift. Just follow the steps and together we will make your own wintry snowman. Let's go!
This is how you create the acrylic ball with snowman:
Carefully open the packaging of the FIMO soft large block so that you can pack the rest airtight later. Cut off a piece of FIMO with the polishing plate and knead it until it is soft. Shape two balls for the head and the body of the snowman. Make sure that the head matches the cylinder shape that will be placed on top later. Place the two balls on top of each other and press them down lightly.
Take another piece of white modelling clay and roll it into a "sausage". Cut it in the middle and press it to the right and left of the snowman's body to form his arms. Use small balls of the same mixture to make snowballs and create a small "snowball mountain". Form two mini balls for the eyes and put them aside.
Use a small piece of FIMO "Mandarin" to form the nose of the snowman. Press it into the face using the silicone modelling brush.
Turn the black FIMO into 5 tiny balls and press them flat. Put 2 as eyes over the nose together with the two white mini balls. The other 3 serve as buttons. Use a pottery needle to poke small holes in the buttons and carefully attach them to the snowman's belly.
Shape the FIMO effect "Galaxy" red into a scarf. Knead it softly, roll it into a "sausage" and use the FIMO acrylic roller to roll over it. Carefully wrap the scarf around the snowman's neck. If it is too long, you can shorten it with scissors. Cut small fringes in the ends and bend them slightly. Use the FIMO acrylic roller to do this.
You can make candy canes out of a white and a red "sausage". Simply twist both "sausages" into each other and carefully roll them again on the handicraft mat. Then cut them to the desired length with the polishing sheet and bend one side over.
Gently lay or place everything on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Set your oven to 110°C and leave everything to harden for 30 minutes. Then turn off the oven and let the mixture cool slowly.
You can then paint everything with FIMO gloss varnish to protect the surface and prevent the colours from fading. Let it harden completely for 24 hours.
Put the top hat on the snowman's head and fix it with some hot glue if necessary. Now glue your snowman, candy canes and snowballs into the acrylic sphere halves with hot glue. Sprinkle some of the organic snow inside, close the acrylic ball and attach the satin ribbon to the loop for hanging.
