Homemade knot cushions could be the new highlights in your home. Here we show you how you can make the stylish cushions yourself.
Sewing & darning
For this sewing project Jersey fabric will be sewninto a 4 meter long Knitted tube : The Jersey fabric recommended by us is a 150 cm wide fabrics by the meter. You will need about 1 m of this fabric:Cut 3 x 20 cm pieces with 1 cm seam allowance on both sides, sew these narrow pieces of fabric upside down into small tubes. However, you should leave approx. 5 cm open at the ends of the tubes, so that you can plug them more easily with cotton wool. Sew all three tubes together as far as possible with the sewing machine, the rest by hand.
Winding
For the knotted cushion, first form two loops of approx. Ø 30 cm by wrapping the jersey tube around the arms (vertical loops). Next, wrap two more loops horizontally around the first two vertical ones. Then wrap the jersey tube twice around the horizontal loops. The knot is closed by passing both ends of the hose through the last two windings. They look out of the knot at different places. They are stuffed further with cotton wool, first closed right on right and then sewn together by hand.Finish
Pull the knot cushion into shape, making sure that the seams are hidden as much as possible.
