Decorating a Rattan Fall Wreath with Artificial Plants
Place the rattan wreath on a sturdy surface. Decide which side will face forward and where the “top” should be. Now roughly plan whether you want your fall wreath to be lush all around or if you’d like to leave part of it intentionally bare. This will help you distribute the decorations evenly and achieve a harmonious look in the end.

1. Test the decorations first
Pick up the artificial plants and place the individual stems loosely on the wreath without securing them. This will help you quickly determine whether you’d prefer to work in small clusters or arrange the elements evenly in an alternating pattern.

2. Trim the artificial plants to size
Use wire cutters to trim the artificial plants to the right size. If there are any wire ends, trim them so nothing sticks out and the wreath can be hung securely later.

3. Attach them piece by piece with hot glue
Start at the spot that will be the top later, and then work your way around in a circle. Apply only a small amount of hot glue to the wreath at a time and press the cut piece briefly until it holds. Hot glue cools quickly, so it’s better to glue in small steps.

4. Attach the “ ribbon ” for hanging
Finally, attach the ribbon for hanging. The knot or bow can be visible—it complements the natural look of rattan particularly well.
