You too can make your own unique storage box and bookmark in just a few steps. We'll show you how it's done!
Box book:
To start, take the motif straw silks and tear them so that they fit onto the box. Coat the box with varnish and place the straw silk papers on top. The coat of varnish will hold them in place and prevent them from slipping. Finally, apply another coat of varnish.
You can design the inside of the book box with a poem, for example. In our example, we have cut out a straw silk paper motif and glued it onto an embossing foil with varnish:
Once the varnish has dried, the foil is placed on an embossing mat or similar soft surface with the motif facing downwards. It can now be embossed with an embossing pen to create an effective 3D look and then glued on.
Bookmark:
First cut out your favourite motifs and stick them onto cardboard. You can also tear and combine the straw silk paper here. Also glue the back of the bookmarks. Then punch a hole and attach the tassels using the rings.
