1) Prepare your work surface
Cover your work surface and have a stretched canvas, acrylic paint and a brush ready.
2) Prime the canvas
Apply a base layer of white acrylic paint to the entire canvas. Important: Do not let this primer dry. The damp, white base ensures that the paints will spread more easily later and creates a smooth color gradient.
3) Apply color stripes in the center
Place several color stripes close together in the center of the canvas. Use different colors to create exciting gradients later on.
4) Blend the paint
Take a brush and blend the color stripes outward from the center. This creates the typical acrylic-color gradient with visible brush strokes. Leave a bit of acrylic paint in the center of the stripes to add texture to your artwork.
5) Create a color gradient
Repeat this step until the colors blend harmoniously into one another. Don’t rinse the brush in between strokes to create a particularly beautiful color gradient.
6) Let it dry
Let your acrylic painting dry completely before hanging it or working on it further.
