Step 1: Prepare the decorative sign

Start by priming the wooden panel evenly with white handicraft paint . Allow the board to dry completely.

Step 2: Apply napkin technique

Select your desired napkin motifs. Carefully tear or cut them out of the napkin and remove the two unprinted layers so that you only use the top printed layer. Then apply napkin varnish to the areas you want to design and place the printed napkin layer on top. Gently brush another layer of napkin varnish over it to fix the motifs in place. Coat the remaining part of the wooden board with the varnish and allow everything to dry thoroughly.

Step 3: Create lettering

Design your individual lettering on the computer or print out our template. Then place graphite paper on the wooden board and transfer the lettering by tracing it with a pencil. Use a brush pen to trace the lines neatly and add the finishing touches to your sign.

Step 4: Decorate the illuminated bottle

Cut a 13 x 23 cm strip from a vellum paper and attach it around the glass vase using double-sided adhesive tape . Then cut a narrower strip measuring 10 x 23 cm, label it as you wish and attach it around the vase as well. Tip: To easily transfer the lettering to the vellum paper , you can print it out on the computer beforehand and trace it.

Step 5: Insert the bottle light chain

Remove the safety strip from the battery compartment of your bottle light chain. Carefully unwind the wire of the chain of light and insert it into the bottle vase. Then insert the "cork" into the opening to give the bottle the appearance of a real cork stopper.

Step 6: Attach satin ribbon

Take a piece of satin ribbon and seal it with double-sided adhesive tape. tape around the center of the vase and, if you like, around the neck of the bottle vase. Add an extra decorative element to your work by closing the ribbon with a bow.
