Are you looking for a special, very personal gift for Valentine's Day? Why not lovingly design a wooden envelope using the napkin technique and use it as a decorative "gift wrapping" for a cinema voucher for Valentine's Day. Find out here how you can quickly recreate our idea.
With just a few simple steps, you can turn ordinary wooden envelopes into real works of art. The napkin technique offers a wonderful way to design them creatively and very decoratively.
Priming First, prime your wooden envelopes and the VBS "Mila" heart scatter decorations with white craft paint. Allow everything to dry well before continuing. The white colour as a primer will later ensure that the napkin motifs stand out perfectly.
Motif selection Choose the motifs you want from your napkins. Carefully cut or tear out the motifs so that they fit perfectly. Remember: you only need the top layer of printed paper. So remove the bottom layers of the napkins.
Napkin technique Apply some napkin varnish to the area you want to design with your motif. Place the cut-out napkin motif on top and coat it again with the napkin varnish. This varnish acts as both an adhesive and protection and dries transparent.
Once everything is dry, stick two scatter decorations onto one of your designed envelopes using VBS handicraft glue. These little accents will give your project a very special touch.
Done!
Now you have unique wooden envelopes designed by you, just insert a cinema voucher, for example, for the Valentine's Day gift!
