The sugar syrup is made by boiling about 600 g sugar with about 600 ml water in a pot for about 10 minutes. To roll out, take a portion of dough, dust with cornflour and roll out as thin as possible. Bake at 175 °C top/bottom heat for approx. 40 - 45 minutes until the baklava is golden brown, spread the sugar syrup over the hot cake. Cool down and let the syrup soak in overnight.
